“I regularly get great feedback from customers and fellow Woodstock retailers about my windows and how good the shop looks. I am certain that the windows and merchandising draws people in and leads to more sales and foot traffic.”

Mark Scully | Vermont Eclectic Company

“Grease & Glitter is creative, listens to the customer and strives to stick to the budget. A WIN. And Kate is a pleasure to work with. I would recommend G&G to everyone I know needing solutions for retail, home or office space.”

Tracey Davidow | Yellow Turtle

“For an independent contractor, Kate blended seamlessly with our team and her sense of clean style and enthusiasm for her work gave us all a renewed sense of pride in our shop.”

The story behind our name

In the early days of Instagram, our founder was in art school and working as a welder part time. When she decided to begin sharing her work, a friend suggested the handle “grease + glitter” because Kate’s hands were always greasy but never without her signature glitter nail polish. All these years later, the name is still at the heart of Kate’s work. It speaks to a balance between grit and glam: the power of good design and strategy paired with technical skill and hard work.
